Achieving International English Language Qualifications


CPE (Cambridge Proficiency English)

This course is designed for learners who are approximately 18 years old and above and is suitable for students who are currently pursuing or planning to pursue higher education courses. CPE is the highest-level exam in the Cambridge English Assessments. By excelling in this exam, students are qualified with certification showing that they have mastered the English language to an exceptional level (C2). This will help them study on challenging courses at university level which include graduate and post-graduate courses.


IEP (Intensive English Programme)

This course is designed for school leavers who are looking to improve their English language abilities to perform better in assignment writing or other academic requirements. This flexible short course is perfect for students who are looking to take up a language course before they join university or during their university’s semester break to enhance their grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. There are four levels to this course – Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate. Students will be able to collaborate with similar age group classmates, opening the doors of opportunity to learn and gain knowledge from each other. At the end of the course, students will be given a certificate, recognising their completion of the course and mastery of the level. Students can also opt to sit for the Cambridge Proficiency examination – A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First and C1 Advanced to be certified with a Cambridge assessment.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Analyse, synthesise and study complex subjects in English at the highest level such as postgraduate courses.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently, at native English speakers’ level
  • Listen and communicate effectively and confidently with appropriate responses
  • Comprehend a variety of reading materials and produce various types of written texts
